OX NATURE BLACK CHIA SEEDS: Chia seeds are the seeds of the South American herb Salvia hispanica L. that grows in very hard and dry conditions, adapted to be highly efficient in the absorption of the nutrients of the soil. The Chia seeds has been part of the usual diet of South Americans for millennia, according to the local legend it was consumed by the Aztecs and is still used today by towns like the Tharahumara – a town known for its skill in long distance races. Chia seeds are an excellent source of omega 3 fatty acids, which account for about 20% of the chia seed mass.

As part of a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle, consume 1 tablespoon (10 g) a day, added to your favourite drink, cereal or salads.

Traditionally, in Central America they are used simple, in salads and mixed in local drinks like “Fresh Chia”. Add 1 teaspoon (10g) of chia seeds per 250 ml of water and let stand to create a slightly gelatinous liquid. Then add lime and OX Nature coconut sugar to your taste.
